“Dr. Navdeep Dhaliwal is a consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Intensivist, Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital, Chandigarh” He completed his post-graduation, senior residency from GTB hospital, Delhi and super-specialty training in Paediatric Intensive care (Fellowship National Board) from Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, a premier institute for Paediatric intensive care in the country. These 8 years were a unique opportunity to care for the sickest children with complex diseases under the guidance of best clinicians and world class laboratory support. Dr Navdeep has a passion for caring for critically ill children; He played a pivotal role inbuilding a robust Paediatric team that specializes in Paediatric emergency and Intensive Care. His team includes young, dynamic, highly skilled and committed Nurses and paramedical staff who combine the science and art of medicine to set a new benchmark in quality healthcare in the region. With his expertise in caring for critically ill children, he makes sure that the little ones get the best care when they need it most. Our PICU provides sick children with the highest level of intensive medical care, including constant monitoring of bodily functions, specialized services for specific childhood diseases and injuries, paediatric therapies that are not available in other hospitals, and advanced equipment specifically for sick children. Facilities available include invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation (non-invasive, conventional ), renal replacement therapy (peritoneal dialysis ), central line insertion, and sedation for procedures. The ICU provides tertiary level care to seriously ill children from all over Himachal, parts of Haryana, and Punjab. Patients treated here include any critically ill child, with diseases such as severe asthma, serious infections (malaria, TB, meningitis, Dengue fever, complicated typhoid, etc.), head injuries, Trauma, snake bite, severe lung, brain, and blood infections, kidney, heart and liver failure, etc.
