I feel blessed to have chosen Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital for my delivery, after attending the antenatal classes & sessions with Dr. Ridhi Jindal and Dr. Arvin Kaur.
Of course the way my entire labor and delivery was handled I need to express it in a more elaborated and detailed way here because “My dream of having a normal and natural birth would have remained a dream if I was not at Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital.” My water broke on 26.03.2017 morning. I was tense as I had heard that once your water break you need to rush to the hospital. Dr. Babita was calm and just asked me to eat well and relax and wait till contractions begin, there were no contractions that entire day. Dr. Babita and team monitored me to rule out any infections or complication, but my contractions refused to start on same day. Finally on 27.03.2017 my contractions in the beginning they were slow and infrequent, but gradually increased in intensity. It seemed such a long time but looked lika baby would never come out.Pain became unbearable and i asked Dr. Babita to do a C-section – yes I never wanted it but at that moment, and after going through last day of stress and slow labor, I just wanted to get it over with.
The nurses sat with me and held my hand through that period. Just knowing that someone is patiently sitting with you and quietly understanding the pain you are going through meant a lot!
Finally it was the time to push and I went into some kind of trance. All I know is that I could hear only one voice encouraging me to push out my baby (Dr. Babita’s voice)…. And finally there he is “a cute little being straight into my arms staring at me intently”.
Huge thanks to the entire Chaitanya team for making my dream of a natural birth come true. I wish Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital grows leaps and bounds and touches many more to –be moms with a wonderful birthing experience.
