Meet the Christmas Day babies welcomed into the world on December 25

Every time a baby is born we celebrate the miracle of life. Each birth story is special, but moms who have a baby during the holidays have some exceptional stories to share. Giving birth during this time of year helps bring back the true meaning of holiday spirit. Our families are surrounding us, there is a feeling of joy in the air and it is the perfect time of year to welcome a new life. We will never receive a gift greater than the gift of a child.

1.   A Christmas Gift

Bharti was experiencing contractions for a one day before Christmas. She expected labor to come soon. While she was expecting labor, by 10 a.m. Bharti decided to go to the hospital. The ride was short and the check-in process was painless. She was checked by a Dr. Geetika who said she was dilated to 4 cm. They continued to monitor Bharti for an hour to see if she would qualify for admittance. When the doctor checked her again she was dilated to 5 cm and talked as if sending her home was a possibility. Luckily, Dr. Geetika and Dr. Charu decided to admit her. Bharti’s parents and family members were waiting for the good news outside labor room. Later that afternoon her first baby was born. It was a girl! Bharti told us, “Having a baby, on Christmas Eve, was simply amazing. Having a baby is magical anyway, but there was something special about the holiday and the excitement. Our hospital (Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital) stay was very peaceful. We had very few visitors. It was absolutely lovely, and she was the best Christmas present ever.” My journey at Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital was very amazing, because the doctors, nurses and everyone at Chaitanya treated me as family member. 2. The Ultimate Gift

“Having my baby on Christmas day was the BEST Christmas gift EVER!!” Thanks to Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital for “The Ultimate Gift” on special day. Shikha Chabra was having trouble getting pregnant and had one previous miscarriage. Christmas is a big deal in Shikha’s family, so having her baby on Christmas day really was the best gift this family could receive. After a long night of Christmas Eve celebrations the parents-to-be went home to relax. At 11:30 p.m. her water broke. She got up and nothing happened. When she tried to go back to sleep the contractions started. Shikha woke her husband up and told him it was time to go at Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital. However, they still made time to open each other’s Christmas gifts before leaving for the Motherhood Chaitanya Hospital. It was Christmas morning after all! They arrived at the hospital around 7:30 a.m. with a friendly staff waiting for them. Shikha’s family arrived at the hospital at 10 a.m. and a precious baby was born at 12:04 p.m. on Christmas day! The nurses dressed him in a cute hat that was red, white and green stripes.
